If you really want to learn a subject, teach it to someone.
The
first or second day of classes, you should form groups of three (minimum) to
six people who will meet together outside of class at least once a week for
at least one hour per week to study, including reviewing material covered in
class, going over class notes, talking with each other about the principles
and processes covered, and practicing wordstems and diagrams. By completing
the accompanying form each time you meet and turning it in to your instructor,
all people listed as having participated will receive a maximum of five points
per week (max. of 50 points per quarter) for group participation. In addition
to helping each other review class material and study for tests, there will
be several assignments which you will be asked to complete as a group.
