Accuracy and Precision of Various Lab Glassware

Please fill in the following data, then submit the form. Note that you must have all the blanks filled in and must choose the section in which you are enrolled. Your lab protocol explained that you should read the balance to two decimal places. Thus, the error-checking on this Web page includes checking to see if each number you enter has the correct number of decimal places. If you do not correctly enter a number, a small dialogue box will pop up asking you to correctly enter the number. In that case, enter the correct number in the space in the dialogue box, and it will be transferred to the appropriate space on the Web form. The Web page will also check for and warn you about things like negative numbers (you probably put your starting and stopping values in the wrong boxes) and unreasonable results (did you really fill and read the glassware correctly?). Clicking in a “Weight of Water” box should tell your computer to perform the appropriate calculations.
